Marine de Dardel

Marine de Dardel is a Researcher at the Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art (HSLU), collaborating with ETH Zurich and USI on the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)-funded project "The Video Essay: Memories, Ecologies, Bodies". She concurrently pursues a PhD in Architecture at ETH Zurich’s Department of Architecture, focusing on "The Grotesque Body", exploring semiotics, corporeality, and iconography across analogue and digital media.

Research Interests: Her work interrogates the intersections of architecture, visual arts, and philosophy, challenging conformism through radical fringes. Key themes include semiotic analysis of the body, digital/analog hybrid practices, and the legitimacy of repressed or silenced narratives in representation-driven societies.
