Prof. M. (Marina) Tabassum is the Professor of Architectural Design for Climate Adaptation at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). Based in Bangladesh, her work focuses on creating a locally-rooted architectural language that addresses ecological imperatives through climate, context, culture, and history. She actively integrates anthropological and sociological perspectives into sustainable design practices.

Her research emphasizes process-driven, collaborative architecture that combats fossil fuel dependency while maintaining cultural authenticity. She chairs the Foundation for Architecture and Community Equity (FACE) and Prokritee (fair trade organization), and serves on the Aga Khan Awards for Architecture Steering Committee.
