Marina Sokolova is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Language and Literature, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research focuses on psycholinguistics, language processing mechanisms, and the differences between native speakers and language learners. She investigates unbalanced bilingualism, multilingualism, and phenomenon-sensitive sentence processing in second and third language acquisition contexts.
Her research interests include the syntax-prosody interface and structural ambiguities in language processing. Key themes in her work involve cross-linguistic transfer in L3 acquisition, gender marking in language, and the cognitive mechanisms underlying trilingual processing.
