Marina Sabanadze is a Lecturer at the School of Linguistics and Language Studies, Carleton University. She specializes in Russian language education, with a focus on curriculum development, syntax, and teaching methodologies. Her work includes practical translation methods and Russian language proficiency testing. Sabanadze holds multiple teaching awards, including repeated CUSA Teaching Excellence Awards and the FASS Teaching Award (2008).

Her research interests span Russian morphology, syntax, and pedagogical approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language. She has authored textbooks such as Our Way to Russia I/II and Russian Practical Syntax.
