Dr. Marina Marouda is a Research Fellow in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Sussex. She holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh, funded by the ESRC, and received the Sutasoma Award from the Royal Anthropological Institute for her doctoral work on death rituals, kinship, and politics in Vietnam. Her research explores the intersections of ritual practices, state policies, and socio-economic transformations in Southeast Asia, with a focus on Vietnam and its diasporas.
