Marina Bianchi is an Associate Professor of Spanish Literature (SSD L-LIN/05) at the University of Bergamo's Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures. She serves as Chair of the Master's Degree Program in Intercultural Studies in Languages and Literatures and acts as Rector's Delegate for Relations with the North and Latin America Area. Additionally, she is a member of the teaching staff for the Doctorate in Transcultural Humanistic Studies.
Her research focuses on contemporary Spanish poetry with particular emphasis on intertextuality and transmediality. Professor Bianchi has made significant contributions to the study of 20th and 21st century Spanish poetry, with special attention to poets such as Manuel Álvarez Ortega, Ana Rossetti, Concha Méndez, and Ana María Martínez Sagi. Her work explores themes of identity, the body, gender, and philosophical dimensions in poetic expression.
Her scholarly output reveals consistent engagement with contemporary Spanish poetic production, particularly examining how modern and postmodern poetry interacts with tradition while innovating new forms of expression. Her research demonstrates particular strength in analyzing how contemporary poets navigate philosophical concepts, emotional landscapes, and intertextual dialogues within their work.

Professor Bianchi actively supervises graduate theses on Spanish poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries, with specific focus on poetic analysis, intertextual influences, and poetic translation. She leads the PRIN research project "Transmediality: media, science, genres, arts in Panhispanic poetry (1980-2022)" (2023-2025) and participates in the international research project "Género, cuerpo e identidad en las poetas españolas de la primera mitad del siglo XX" coordinated by Helena Establier (2021-2024).
She teaches courses on Spanish Literature: Modernity and Postmodernity, and Spanish Literature of the Golden Ages at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing significantly to Hispanic studies within the Italian academic context.
