Marilou Chagnaud (b. 1983, Montreal) is an artist and Research Fellow affiliated with the Fine Art & Photography faculty, utilizing workshops across Textiles Print and Dye, Print Making, and 3D facilities. Her practice bridges artistic creation and environmental research through institutional collaborations.
Her research explores spatial dynamics via geometrical patterns, fold mechanics, and pliable materials, focusing on sensory perception in shifting landscapes. Recent work investigates Norfolk coastline erosion through minimalist forms that capture natural forces like wind and tidal movements, examining human-environment interfaces in climate-vulnerable regions.

Chagnaud’s current East Gallery Fellowship project develops site-responsive installations analyzing how geological processes accelerated by climate change alter spatial relationships, merging artistic methodology with environmental science observation.
