Marilee Morrow is a Professor of Communication and McCoy Professor at Marietta College, appointed since 2002 and elevated to full professor in 2018. She specializes in international media systems, broadcast technology, and media ethics. Her work bridges academia and industry, with extensive freelance production experience and awards like the Associated Press Best Documentary Award. Morrow leads the Marietta College NEMA/NBS-AERho chapter and has served as a national officer for the organization.
Research focuses on global media systems, Olympic broadcast impacts, and workflow adaptations in media production. She teaches mass media courses and organizes international study tours and workshops. Notable projects include the MomsEveryday TV series (2010–2018) and the Heroin Epidemic Town Hall Forum (2016), both recognized with industry awards. She has presented at international conferences in China, South Korea, and India, emphasizing cross-cultural communication strategies.
Awards include multiple NBS-AERho accolades, First Place distinctions at national conventions, and recognition for her academic research. Morrow’s contributions span education, professional media, and community engagement, reflecting her dual expertise in theory and practice.
