Dr. Mariko Visserman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex, specializing in social psychology with a focus on romantic relationships. She investigates how couples navigate conflicting goals and the role of sacrifices in maintaining relationship quality. Her prior roles include Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University of Toronto and York University, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. She holds a PhD from VU Amsterdam, supervised by Profs. Francesca Righetti and Paul van Lange.
