Marijke de Pous is a Researcher at the Innovation Studies department within the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. Based in Rotterdam, she integrates visual art practice with sustainable development research through an interdisciplinary lens.

Her research explores more-than-human agency, power dynamics, entangled resistance, care ethics, and radical belonging through embodied artistic processes. Using charcoal, graphite, and clay in landscapes and studios, she merges content and process to examine emotional/physical relationships with Earth and communities, resulting in raw expressive imagery that challenges human-centric perspectives.
