Marija Petrović is a Researcher at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She is also a member of the LIRA Lab (Laboratory for Irrationality Research in Attitudes) and actively contributes to research on irrational beliefs, science communication, and health psychology.
Research Interests: Marija investigates how people maintain contradictory beliefs (doublethink), belief in conspiracy theories, and irrational health behaviors during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work explores cognitive biases, belief system organization, and strategies to reduce epistemically dubious beliefs.

Publication Trends: Marija's research spans cognitive psychology, health behavior, and political psychology. Her recent work focuses on global trust in science, climate change attitudes, and authoritarianism scales in post-communist societies. She also contributes to cross-cultural studies on temporal discounting and behavioral economics.
