Prof. Dr. Marija Nikolić is a Full Professor at the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. Her office is located in the TMF large building (Office 111), and she can be contacted via email or phone (011/3303804, local 621). Her primary scientific field is Chemistry, with a specialization in Macromolecules.
Her research spans polymer chemistry, macromolecules, and the synthesis/characterization of biodegradable polymers, nanocomposites, and functional materials. She also investigates pharmaceutical chemistry topics like drug ionization, surfactant interactions, and chromatographic behavior. Key areas include:
- Polymer rheology and synthesis
- Nanomaterials and nanotechnology
- Drug delivery systems
- Biomimetic membrane studies
- Computational drug design
Her recent publications focus on pharmaceutical analysis, including drug ionization in micellar systems, chromatographic modeling, and multi-target drug discovery. Computational methods and biomimetic approaches are recurring themes.
She mentors extensively:
- Doctoral students: 2 (topics: polymer synthesis, antimicrobial nanocomposites).
- Master's students: 11 (theses on polymer composites, zeolites, biodegradable materials).
- Undergraduate students: 11 (projects on polymer degradation, nanocomposites, rheology).
