Marija Cvetković, PhD, is an Assistant professor at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urbanism. Born in 1990 in Belgrade, she completed her primary and secondary education in Moscow before returning to Serbia to pursue higher education. She earned her Bachelor's (2010) and Master's (2012) degrees in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, followed by a PhD in 2020 with a dissertation titled Model for the Evaluation of the Impact of Shopping Centers on the Urban Environment.
Her teaching roles began in 2013 as a volunteer, advancing to Teaching assistant (2014) and later Assistant professor with PhD (2021). She contributes to multiple academic programs (OASA, IASA, MASA, MAS IU) and leads workshops, exhibitions, and projects. She serves on faculty commissions and as secretary of the MAS IU department.
Research focuses on urban design, open spaces, and climate change impacts. Since 2018, she has participated in the Research on Climate Change and its Impact on the Environment project and the DANUrB initiative. Since 2020, she has been part of the Vital Places Lab. She has published extensively in national/international journals and contributes to architectural practices since 2012.
