Dr. Aleksandra Djukić is a Full Professor at the Department of Urbanism, University of Belgrade's Faculty of Architecture. She holds bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees from the same institution. Her professional focus includes urban design, urban morphology, and urban renewal, with extensive research on public space quality, urban regeneration, shrinking cities, and climate change impacts. She has authored over 200 publications in international journals and monographs, editing a dozen international volumes and serving on editorial boards of leading journals like Izgradnja and Journal of Sustainable Architecture and Civil Engineering. Dr. Djukić has lectured globally at institutions in Granada, Graz, Bari, Turin, Hong Kong, and Gdańsk, and is actively involved in interdisciplinary research projects such as INTERREG Danube 2020-2023 (DANURB+) and COST Action CA 18204. She leads national and international initiatives, including the CEEPUS CROSS/HOUSE project and the Serbian representative role in ECTP-CEU. Awards include Emerald's Best Published Chapter (2018), Best Papers at World Congresses (Tokyo/Warsaw), and the INTERREG DANUrB Project’s 2019 Best Project Award. She co-founded the Urban Laboratory Belgrade and the Places and Technologies conference, contributing significantly to Serbia’s urban planning discourse.
