Mariem Magdy

Mariem Magdy is currently a Fields-AIMS-Perimeter postdoctoral Fellow at Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Canada. Previously, she held positions as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Mathematical Analysis, Geometry and Dynamical Systems (CAMGSD) at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Portugal and a Junior Research Fellow at the Erwin Schrödinger Institute for Mathematics and Physics during May and June 2024. Her academic journey includes a PhD from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in 2023, supervised by Juan Valiente-Kroon and Mahdi Godazgar, and an MSc in Physics with extended research at Imperial College London.

Her research focuses on mathematical General Relativity, particularly employing conformal methods to study the asymptotic structure and charges near spatial infinity. Key areas of interest include the analysis of spin fields, conserved charges, and the application of conformal techniques to understand gravitational dynamics and symmetry properties at null and spatial infinities.
