Marieke Toffolo is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). She is affiliated with the APH - Mental Health department and coordinates courses such as 'Psychopathology and Prevention,' 'Diversity in Clinical Practice,' and 'Psychological Interventions for Complex Disorders.' Her research focuses on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and innovative treatments using virtual/augmented reality technologies. She has conducted postdoctoral research at UC San Diego's OCD Research Program, funded by a NWO Rubicon Grant. Her work contributes to UN SDGs related to good health and well-being.
Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology from Utrecht University (Netherlands).
