Marie-T. Hopp

Dr. Marie-T. Hopp is a Junior Professor of Bioorganic Chemistry at the University of Koblenz-Landau, affiliated with the Chemistry Department and Institute for Integrated Natural Sciences. She leads the Bioorganic Chemistry Group focusing on interdisciplinary research at the chemistry-biology-medicine interface.

Her research explores peptide applications for investigating biological processes, particularly heme-protein interactions in coagulation disorders and amphibian secretions. Current projects include DFG-funded investigations into heme's prothrombotic role and molecular basis of heme immunomodulation.

She received her doctorate summa cum laude from the University of Bonn and has received research funding from the Chemical Industry Fund and Joachim Herz Foundation.
