Marie Reusch

Dr. Marie Reusch is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Fellow at the Institute of Political Science, Justus Liebig University Giessen, with a secondary affiliation as a Research Associate at the Center for Gender Studies and Feminist Futures, Philipps University Marburg since 2025. Her work focuses on the intersections of far-right extremism, gender relations, and socio-ecological transformation, particularly in agricultural and food systems. She leads the BMBF-funded GERDEA project on gender and far-right dynamics.

• Research Priorities: Far-right ecologism, democratic food systems, gendered power in agriculture, family farm sustainability, and care work in capitalism.

Her peer-reviewed work spans critiques of far-right ideology, gender in rural sociology, and socio-ecological challenges. She has authored a monograph on motherhood and feminism (2018) and contributes to public discourse through policy blogs and editorial leadership. She teaches courses on right-wing extremism, gender-sensitive political education, and democratic sustainability.
