Juliane Lang

Dr. Juliane Lang is a researcher and project leader at the Institute of Political Science, Justus Liebig University Giessen. She serves as Principal Investigator in the BMBF-funded GERDEA project, examining interactions between gender relations and the contemporary extreme right. Her career spans roles in political education, research, and policy analysis, with a focus on right-wing extremism and gender dynamics.

• Education: Magistra in Gender Studies and Educational Science from Humboldt University Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, and Universidad de Buenos Aires; PhD in Political Science (2024).

Research Interests center on right-wing extremism, gender-sensitive political education, and anti-feminism. She analyzes gender roles within authoritarian movements, the intersection of LGBTQ+ rights and extremism, and mobilization dynamics against gender equality. Her work also explores reproduction politics and societal impacts of right-wing violence.
