Marie-Pierre Baggett

Marie-Pierre Baggett is a Professor at the School of American and Global Studies, South Dakota State University (SDSU). Her academic background includes a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.A. (licence) from Université de Clermont-Ferrand in France. Her research focuses on visual media, contemporary France, North Africa, and the intersections of immigration, memory, and national identity. She has published on Algerian immigration narratives and documentary filmmaking’s role in shaping public memory.
