Marie Fielding

Marie Fielding is a Lecturer in Performance and Fiddle at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (R.C.S.), where she fosters innovation and personal growth in students through holistic teaching methods. As a self-taught fiddler, she emphasizes emotional authenticity and artistic resilience, contributing to the Principal Study Syllabus development.

Her performance career is marked by award-winning compositions, including the Spectrum Project album released during lockdown, which showcases her philosophy of spontaneous, unscripted musical exploration. She has also published four books of original compositions and collaborated with BBC Scotland and BBC Alba.
