Marie Eriksson is a Professor of Statistics at the Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE), specializing in statistical applications in medicine. She also holds an associate professorship (docent) in experimental medicine and is affiliated with the Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine at Umeå University. Her work focuses on improving healthcare quality through methodological advancements in register studies, epidemiology, and clinical trials.
Key affiliations include leadership roles in the Stat4Reg research group and the Swedish National Quality Register for Stroke Care (Riksstroke). Her research addresses socioeconomic disparities in healthcare outcomes, particularly in stroke care, using large-scale register data.
