Marie Elisabet Sandström is a Professor of Legal History at Stockholm University's Department of Law, specializing in the evolution of legal methodology from the 18th century to contemporary times. Her research examines drivers of legal methodological development such as internationalization of law, European private law harmonization, critiques of legal positivism, and the role of legal doctrine in source theory.
