Marie Dorchain is a researcher affiliated with the Namur Institute for Complex Systems at the University of Namur. Her work focuses on complex systems, network science, and mathematical modeling, with a particular emphasis on Turing patterns and their applications in directed and defective networks.
Her research explores the interplay between network structure and dynamical processes, including stability analysis, higher-order interactions, and generalized eigenvectors. She has published in journals such as Chaos, Solitons & Fractals and Europhysics Letters, contributing to the understanding of pattern emergence in nonlinear systems.
Scientific Awards
- Prix Frank Callier - catégorie "Excellence scientifique" (2023)
She actively participates in academic events like the naXys Research Day, Complex Networks workshops, and the Benelux Meeting on Systems and Control. She also contributed to organizing the "Women and Girls in Science - UNamur 2024" conference.
