Marie-Claude Trudel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technologies at HEC Montréal. She holds an M.Sc. in Management from HEC Montréal and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. Her research focuses on critical analysis of information systems, inter-organizational systems implementation, and applications in healthcare and cultural organizations. She actively supervises Master's students in Management, directing over 50 projects since 2019.
Her expertise includes data governance, business analytics, and digital transformation in sectors like healthcare, finance, and public institutions. Recent projects involve developing dashboards for performance tracking, data quality improvement in patient financing systems, and governance frameworks for SMEs. She also collaborates with organizations such as Desjardins, Bell, and the CHUM hospital network.
Trudel's 2021 and 2020 publications address medical appointment scheduling impacts on primary care accessibility and health information exchange in hospitals, reflecting her focus on healthcare IT solutions. She teaches courses on business intelligence, data visualization, and digital transformation strategies.
Her advising includes projects on fraud profiling, cloud consumption management, Agile Scrum tracking, and RH systems design. Notable collaborations involve Statistique Canada, Investissement Québec, and the National Film Board of Canada.
