Marie-Christine Delbeau is a Professor of Piano at the University of Delaware's School of Music, within the College of Arts & Sciences. She is an internationally recognized pianist, performing solo and collaborative recitals in prestigious venues such as the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Her expertise spans classical and contemporary repertoire, with a focus on chamber music collaborations with leading orchestras like the Philadelphia Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Dr. Delbeau actively engages in chamber music festivals, including the Victoria International Arts Festival in Malta, and performs at major music conferences across the U.S.
In her academic role, she teaches applied piano, chamber music, ensemble piano, keyboard literature, and piano pedagogy. She mentors students through master classes and serves as an adjudicator for national competitions. Her pedagogical work has produced former students who now hold prominent roles as performers and educators globally.
