Marie Carey is a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at the Department of Nursing and Health Care, South East Technological University (SETU). A registered psychiatric nurse, nurse prescriber, and BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, she brings over two decades of mental health service experience including ten years at specialist level. She actively maintains CBT clinical practice while developing integrated rural mental health services to expand evidence-based interventions and reduce polypharmacy through stepped care approaches.
