معرفی
Marie Brossard-Racine, PhD, serves as an Associate Professor in the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and holds a Scientist position at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC). She is affiliated with the Child Health and Human Development Program and the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), focusing on pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders through advanced neuroimaging and clinical assessment methodologies.
Her research centers on identifying biomarkers of brain dysfunction in at-risk pediatric populations, particularly children with congenital heart disease and prematurity. By integrating quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with standardized clinical evaluations, her work enables early detection of atypical brain development and informs targeted intervention strategies. Key research areas include structural and functional brain alterations, cognitive heterogeneity across neurodevelopmental disorders, and the development of novel assessment tools for early intervention.
Analysis of her 2023-2025 publications reveals a concentrated focus on neuroimaging correlates in congenital heart disease and prematurity cohorts, with emerging emphasis on transdiagnostic cognitive approaches and digital health applications. Her studies frequently examine white matter microstructure, executive function relationships, and physiological parameters like cerebral oxygenation, demonstrating methodological rigor through prospective cohort designs and advanced MRI techniques.
As director of the Advances in Brain and Child Development Research Laboratory, Dr. Brossard-Racine leads a multidisciplinary team of graduate students, undergraduate trainees, and research staff. The laboratory maintains active collaborations with clinicians, scientists, and families to translate neuroscientific findings into practical interventions that enhance developmental outcomes and optimize healthcare delivery for children with brain-based disorders from infancy through young adulthood.
