Mariano A. Rodriguez-Cabal is an Assistant Professor at the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, University of Vermont. His work focuses on biodiversity, global change ecology, and invasive species. He holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Tennessee (2012), an MS in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida (2008), and a Licentiate in Biological Science from Universidad Nacional del Comahue, Argentina (2003).

- Loss of mutualisms and native species
- Impacts of invasive species and climate change
- Habitat fragmentation effects on communities
- Ecosystem processes under global change
Awards:
- Two-time Fulbright Scholarship recipient
His methodologies include observational, experimental, meta-analytical, and theoretical approaches, applied across diverse ecosystems from Patagonia to British Columbia. He has published 50+ peer-reviewed articles on topics ranging from ant behavior in North Carolina to marsupial studies in Argentina.
