Marianne van der Werf

Marianne van der Werf is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specializing in Internet Law and Technology. She holds a dual affiliation with the Department of Law & Technology. Her teaching responsibilities include the course Robot Law and Artificial Intelligence (academic year 2024–2025).

Her research and professional activities focus on legal challenges posed by AI, cybercrime, and technological innovation. In March 2025, she co-presented a lecture titled Cybercrime en AI alongside speakers Weulen Kranenbarg and de Hingh.
