Marianne Kosin is a University Lecturer and Degree Programme Manager in the Speech Therapy programme at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tampere. She began her teaching role in 2022 after earning her Master of Philosophy in Speech Therapy from the same institution. Since October 2023, she has managed the Speech Therapy degree programme while pursuing doctoral studies focused on speech prosody in Alzheimer's disease and normal aging.
Research Expertise: Her work emphasizes acoustic analysis of speech, aging-related communication disorders, and progressive memory conditions. She investigates speech pattern changes in early Alzheimer's patients and healthy elderly populations longitudinally.

She coordinates Master's Clinical Practice (LOG.710) and Clinical Science (LOG.720) courses, supervises theses, and tutors bachelor's students.
Clinical Practice: As a licensed therapist at the Speech Research Center (PUTUKE), she assesses/rehabilitates adults with communication disorders (e.g., stroke, dementia) and leads group therapies (SPEAK OUT!®, ILAT).
