Marianne Jenum Hotvedt is a Professor of Law at the University of Oslo's Department of Private Law, specializing in labor law since 2020. She co-leads the faculty's Labour Law and Working Life research group and is affiliated with the Arfa project focused on preserving labor law expertise. With a Cand.jur. (2002) and PhD (2015) from the same institution, her research examines fundamental labor law concepts, EU/EEA law, and human rights intersections.
Her research interests include:
- Evolution of core labor law principles
- Cross-border legal influences on national legislation
- Adapting labor regulations to emerging work models
- Interdisciplinary intersections with contract and administrative law
Recent publications demonstrate sustained focus on platform economy regulation, judicial impacts on labor rights, and Nordic legal adaptations.
