Marianna Vivitsou is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Educational Sciences, the Institute of Sustainability Science (HELSUS), and the Learning, Culture & Interventions (LECI) research group. She works as a project planner for the OLIVE-Teacher Education Without Walls initiative, focusing on hybrid pedagogies, sustainability, and transformative learning.

Her work integrates narratology, metaphor theory, and critical literacy to develop methodologies for engaging with marginalized communities, particularly in Palestine. She has contributed to projects like OLIVE, SVEASUS, and Future School 2030, emphasizing digital tools for social sustainability.
