Marianna Foldvari

Dr. Marianna Foldvari is a Professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on developing intelligent delivery systems for non-invasive therapeutic agent delivery, targeting diseased tissues through nanomedicine and biomolecular devices. She specializes in pharmaceutical nanotechnology for regenerative medicine applications in dermatology, ophthalmology, and immunology.

Research Highlights: Dr. Foldvari pioneers work in transdermal, ocular, and pulmonary delivery systems. Her lab develops 3D retinal models for gene therapy screening and investigates nanoparticle-membrane interactions using synchrotron technologies. Collaborations span MIT, Stanford, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
