Her research focuses on comparative constitutional law and politics, particularly constitutional theory and constitutional change. Her doctoral dissertation explores Mexico’s high formal constitutional amendment rate (1917-2017), introducing a theory centered on the "political construction of amendment difficulty," emphasizing factors like party systems, constitutional culture, and political actor decisions. She is currently expanding this work through comparative case studies in the United States.
