Mariana Ferraz, OD, FAAO, is an Assistant Professor in the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She serves dual roles as Director of Community Outreach Programs and Director of Introduction to Primary Care. Her affiliations include NSU's Optometry department, where she has been a faculty member since 2020.
Dr. Ferraz earned her undergraduate degree from NSU in 2015, followed by a Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry. She completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at NSU in 2019. Her research focuses on Retinitis Pigmentosa, ocular disease, and posterior pole disorders, collaborating with Dr. Ava Bittner and Dr. Julie Rodman.
