Marian Grace Gabor

Dr Marian Grace Gabor serves as a Research Fellow at the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) within the School of Public Health, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. She is the Field Lead in musculoskeletal and nervous system for the JBI EBP Database, collaborating with global experts to develop evidence-based healthcare resources.

Her research interests span multiple specialized areas in rehabilitation science:

• Musculoskeletal rehabilitation techniques and protocols
• Neurological rehabilitation methodologies
• Gait assessment and training systems
• Pedagogy of evidence-based practice in clinical settings
• Integration of evidence-based practice in undergraduate physiotherapy education

Dr Gabor has extensive international experience, having worked as a senior lecturer in the United Arab Emirates until 2022, where she contributed to pioneering physiotherapy education for females in Abu Dhabi. Her doctoral research focused on how evidence-based practice is embedded in physiotherapy undergraduate clinical placements.

She is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students as a Co-Supervisor and maintains active professional engagement through volunteer work with the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd) of Australia and New Zealand as a branch committee member, and previously served on the board of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association from 2010 to 2012.
