Dr. hab. Marian Bielecki, Prof. UWr, is a distinguished professor at the University of Wrocław's Faculty of Philology. Born in 1975, he holds a PhD and DSc, specializing in literary studies with a focus on Witold Gombrowicz, modernism, and interdisciplinary approaches. His research explores themes like gender, transgression, and cultural theory through works such as History – Dialogue – Literature (2010, recipient of the Literature in the World Award) and Specters of Modernity (2014). He has authored/co-edited over ten books and contributed to key academic journals including Pamiętnik Literacki and Acta Pancoviana.
His academic contributions span literary theory, Polish literature, and cultural studies. Notable works analyze Gombrowicz's interplay with modernity, queer theory, and comparative literature. He has been recognized for his innovative critical editions and interdisciplinary scholarship. Awards include the Golden Series of the University of Wrocław for his 2010 work.
