Dr. Mariah (Mo) Horner (she/they) is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Drama at Queen’s University. Based in Katarokwi-Kingston, they work at the intersection of theatre, music, and community engagement.

Their research focuses on abolition dramaturgies, site-specific performance, and participatory creation, often exploring connections between care work, collaborative practices, and anti-colonial frameworks. Current projects examine how non-traditional performance formats can challenge institutional norms.
Horner's publications and creative works, including a 2024 co-authored book and journal co-edited volume, emphasize themes like community engagement, experimental theatre forms, and Kingston-based cultural initiatives. She has contributed to Theatre Research in Canada, Canadian Theatre Review, and digital platforms like SpiderWebShow.

As co-founder of the Cellar Door Project (2013), Mariah has co-created 16 site-specific performances and collaborated with organizations including the National Arts Centre, Agnes Etherington Arts Centre, and Skeleton Park Arts Festival.
