Professor MariaLaura Di Domenico is the Associate Head of School (Research and Innovation) and holds the Chair of Entrepreneurship, Work and Organization at Surrey Business School, University of Surrey. She leads strategic research initiatives, including serving as the University's REF 2021 Lead for Business and Management Studies. Her academic roles include past positions as Deputy Head of Surrey Business School and Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Education: PhD (University of Strathclyde), MRes, PGCert HE, BA(Hons), with professional certifications including MCIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and FHEA (Fellow of the Higher Education Academy).
Research focuses on entrepreneurship, organizational collaboration, and ethical challenges in modern industries. Recent work addresses sustainability paradoxes in tourism, modern slavery risks in hospitality, and algorithmic ethics in pricing strategies. She has co-edited seminal works like Organizational Collaboration: Themes and Issues (Routledge, 2011).
