Maria Vidal de Haymes is a Professor at the School of Social Work, Loyola University Chicago. She directs the Center for Immigrant & Refugee Accompaniment (CIRA) and the Migration Studies Sub-Specialization, while coordinating international social service exchanges across institutions in the US, Mexico, and global networks.
Educational Background:
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Chicago (1987)
- PhD from Ohio State University (1991)
Research Interests span migration, poverty and inequality, child welfare, and social work education. Her work emphasizes cross-border collaboration and policy analysis.
