Maria Torre

Maria Torre is a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the M.S. Forensic Technology program at the University of New Haven, affiliated with the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. With hands-on experience as a Crime Scene Technician and Forensic Scientist, she bridges academic instruction with real-world application in forensic science and criminal justice.

Maria has received specialized training in crime scene photography, infrared spectroscopy, and courtroom testimony. She actively contributes to professional organizations such as the American Criminal Justice Association, Northeast Association of Forensic Scientists, and CT-IAI (serving as Secretary), ensuring her work remains aligned with industry standards and innovations.
