Maria Ruiz Sanchez

María Ruiz Sánchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classical Philology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Universidad de Murcia. She is affiliated with the JANO Research Group in Classical Psychology, Humanism and Classical Tradition. Her doctoral research focused on the poetic works of Juan de Iriarte.

Her research explores Latin philology with particular emphasis on Classical poetry and the transmission of humanistic traditions. She maintains scholarly interest in textual analysis and historical contextualization of Renaissance literary works.
