Maria Ormhøj

Maria Ormhøj is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Green Technology (IGT) under the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark. Her research focuses on biomedical applications within cancer therapy and retinal diseases.

Research Interests: Maria specializes in Cancer Immunotherapy, particularly in Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for hematological and solid tumors. Her work explores strategies to limit antigen escape, optimize CAR-T cell design, and enhance tumor targeting. She also investigates pharmacological interventions for Retinal Neoangiogenesis and vascular leakage, with a focus on microfibrillar-associated proteins and integrin signaling.
