Maria Louca is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Leicester's Leicester Law School since September 2022. She specializes in International Procedural Law, focusing on jurisdictional objections in international courts and tribunals. Her PhD explored procedural fairness in inter-state adjudication.
Education: Single Honours LLB (University of Keele, 2012), LLM in International Law (University of Surrey, 2013), MA in International Relations (University of Kent, 2014). Qualified as a barrister in Cyprus (2015) with subsequent legal practice.
Research interests include procedural frameworks of international adjudication, jurisdictional issues, and fairness standards in international litigation. She contributed to the International Law Association’s Committee on Procedure of International Courts and Tribunals (2016–2021).
