Maria Lechich, Ph.D., serves as Clinic Director, Head of the Psychology Externship Program, and Teaching Faculty at NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. A graduate of Columbia University (Ph.D.) and NYU (MA), she contributes to the College of Arts and Science's Department of Psychology.
Her research spans trauma, loss, clinical supervision, and ethics. She actively engages in psychoanalytic education and clinical training through roles at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies and the Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center.
