Maria Koutsovoulou

Maria Koutsovoulou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at ESCP Business School, specializing in negotiation, conflict management, organizational behavior, and leadership. She currently serves as the Academic Dean of the Industrial Relations and Firm's Competitiveness Corporate Chair and the Scientific Director of the 'Manager en Leader' executive program. Previously, she held leadership roles including Academic Dean of the Master in Management Grande École program (2009–2010) and Dean for Academic Affairs (2011–2014).

Her research focuses on psychosociological processes of negotiation, decision-making, and the interplay between social identity, conflict resolution, and negotiation. She is a member of the International Association for Conflict Management (IACM). Beyond academia, she has consulted extensively since 1999 for French and international organizations in areas such as change management, complexity management, strategic leadership, and negotiation. She advises executive and management committees on strategic leadership and complexity management.

Dr. Koutsovoulou holds a PhD and has contributed to executive education programs, integrating her research into practical business strategies. Her work bridges academic theory with real-world organizational challenges, emphasizing ethical and sustainable leadership practices.
