Maria Josefa Delgado Iniesta

Dr. Maria Josefa Delgado Iniesta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Geology and Soil Science at the Universidad de Murcia's Faculty of Biology. She obtained her PhD from Universidad de Murcia in 1998 with a thesis on soils and vegetation in Neogene volcanic outcrops in southeastern Spain. Her research focuses on soil science, agricultural chemistry, and environmental challenges in Mediterranean ecosystems.

Her work addresses soil erosion, desertification processes, and sustainable land management practices. She is affiliated with the Soil Science and Technology research group and has contributed to projects related to erosion and desertification in Mediterranean regions. Her research combines field studies with laboratory analysis to understand soil-vegetation relationships in vulnerable ecosystems.
