Maria Jose Martin Sanchez

Maria Jose Martin Sanchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical, Agricultural and Food Technology at the University of Girona. She is affiliated with the Institute of the Environment and leads research at the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Laboratory (LEQUIA). She holds a degree in Chemistry (specializing in Chemical Engineering) from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Girona.

Her research focuses on:

• Development and optimization of physicochemical treatment systems
• Water purification process enhancement
• Environmental technology innovation and industrial applications

She has served as principal investigator for multiple research and technology transfer projects.
