Maria Isabel Ripoll Perelló

Dr. Maria Isabel Ripoll Perelló is a Tenured Senior Lecturer in Catalan Philology at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), affiliated with the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts. She serves as the director of the Catalan Philology department and teaches courses on Catalan language, historical grammar, and medieval literature. Her research focuses on Catalan philology, medieval literary studies, and the interrelationship of Romance languages. She actively contributes to the Mediaeval Studies (GRESMED) research group, a consolidated R+D+I initiative.

Her teaching spans undergraduate and master's programs, including the Degree in Catalan Language and Literature and the Master's Degree in Linguistic and Literary Competence. Courses such as 'Historic Catalan Grammar' and 'Readings and Debates on Mediaeval Catalan Literature' reflect her expertise. She also advises on final degree projects and collaborates on normative language analysis and educational research.
